Hilarious

some funny happenings recently. a teacher was talking about coming to visit the USA in the next year and her choice location is "la gran manzana" - that made me chuckle. then in 6th grade we were asking the kids their fav music. 2 guys said eminem and yolanda asked them if they knew what he was saying in his songs. "he could be saying ´you are dumb for listening to my music´ and you have no idea." also, we asked them what they want to be when they grow up and francisco (thumb trick guy) answered "i want to be... harry potter." YES

today, just now at the high school, i told the group of kids that this would be my last time with them probably because i only have 2 more tuesdays here. they actually got a little sad! probably because they will no longer have an hour to goof off and listen to the jonas brothers while in school, but i am going to pretend some of their grief was over the fact that i am leaving. ha. crazy that in 2 weeks i will be finishing up. it will feel like the end of a long road. i will be so ready to see my family but sad too. the fate of my next year is being decided tonight btw. the asheboro committee is meeting - ah!
